Fields

Records billed as bestseller carry 10 of the 55 product fields, read from real Amazon records. Each links to what it holds on the Amazon page. Each record starts with the envelope: source, type, event, id, url, collectedAt.

Options

These inputs and switches change what comes back. Every request also takes maxItems and maxItemsPerInput.

OptionTypeDefaultWhat it does
categoryUrlsarraynonee.g. https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Electronics/zgbs/electronics/
fetchProductDetailsbooleanfalseOpen each hit's own product page for specs, images, variants, Best Sellers ranks, rating breakdown, top reviews, other offers and seller, and merge them in. In search mode this replaces the search-card event with the richer product-detail event; in bestsellers mode the shelf item (rank, category) is still charged as a Best seller event, and the merged detail is charged an additional Product detail event per item.

Amazon best sellers pricing

You pay once for each record you receive, at the price of the event it carries. A request that returns nothing costs nothing.

Edge cases

  • rank is the position Amazon prints on the list.
  • Each list is read for up to 5 pages.
  • With fetchProductDetails: true, each entry's product page is merged in. The entry is billed as bestseller and the product page as product-detail, so each entry costs both.
